On The Grind

I've gone to this location a few times in hopes it would get a little better but today was the last time I will visit. The coffee was cold and had a metallic taste to it. The service is not up to par and I am always asked for a tip, which I understand it's the food and service industry but the coffee is over priced and tastes like trash and service is mediocre. I really wanted to like this place.

This is my happy place. I’m embarrassed to admit how many times a week I stop by. It pretty much part of my daily routine. I enjoy the coffee black as much as I enjoy their specialty drinks. The staff is always friendly and go above and beyond when ever an issue might happen. My kids love their muffin tops and shakes. Afternoons are perfect for the iced peach green tea. Honestly, I haven’t had a drink I don’t like. This is jewel of our area!

Completely over places over charging for drinks that are overfilled with ice. Visited this location this morning ordered a medium and large drink. (Side noted: I visited this location the day prior for the first time. Ordered a med drink overfilled with ice. When I removed all the ice it was barely enough liquid to make a small drink size) this morning I asked for no ice. When she handed me the cup I was shocked to see what I received. See pictures. Once again confirming that this location is knowing over icing. At least at Starbucks (and many other stores) when I say no ice they fill the cup. Extra information: I normally ask for no ice everywhere I go bc I’ve seen how some establishments store the ice buckets that dip into the ice maker. Update: Went back to try again 12 Jun. Once again disappointed. Tried a FROZEN lemonade. I got a melted overly sweet version of this drink. Don’t waste your time on this location. If you have time driver to the location on FM3009. Both the service and quality of drinks is 100% better. Other wasted drink.

Ordered a double espresso (hot) and was told I could not have a lid unless it was an iced drink. I also ordered my daughter an ICE water and it came in a hot cup without a lid. They quite literally wouldn’t give me a lid until my husband took the lid off his cappuccino, gave it to me and then asked for another. When I order this exact espresso at any other OTG location, I’m asked if I want a lid - with this location they flat out refused. If you’re trying to save cost, I promise ONE lid on a hot espresso isn’t going to kill you. Jesus.
